The Park was designed to promote the Barrocal as a nature museum: alive, dynamic, interactive, educational and playful. For people to get to know Castelo Branco’s landscape features, its genesis and evolution, its relationship with the region’s geology and beyond. To highlight the existing natural resources, its complex ecosystems, as well as the importance to preserve them and to preserve biodiversity towards a healthier, more balanced and harmonious future. The park was designed to warmly welcome visitors, and to invite them to comfortably stroll and experience the Barrocal in its several facets, while respecting its values. For it to be a place to wonder and to contemplate, to gather and to share experiences and knowledge.
